  I h ave been using CVS for many many years for my pharmaceutical needs. I live in New Orleans & my special needs daughter lives in Florida and we are on holiday visiting family in Biloxi. I have filled my daughters same prescription here (from the same pediatric office) before & was in need of a refill for the daily med that cannot be skipped. When I dropped off the script at the drive up, the pharmacist told me because it was an out of state prescription they would need to verify it with the doctor. She told me she couldn't verify it because of the weekend. Turns out Pharmacist Karen Swanson didn't bother to even call the doctors office. I went in side to talk to her and was dismissed again by her telling me there was nothing she could do to help me. I went outside to my truck & called the doctors office and they were in office. I went back inside and asked the Pharmacist if she even tried to call and verify the script and she said no because "she never knew of a doctor to work on a Saturday." This is unacceptable & I'm sure this is not protocol for CVS. If Ms. Swanson would have just done her job there would have been no issue especially after I tried to talk to her twice to see what we could do to solve the problem. I finally got the script filled after an hour for something that should have taken 5 minutes. If the Pharmacist would have just done her job and called to verify that the script was valid instead of taking the easy (and wrong) way out and dismissing me. I do not recommend this location because of this poor customer service.
